Zinc Sulfate Heptahydrate
Product Description
Zinc sulfate is a fast-acting source of zinc. This inorganic compound, composed of a combination of zinc and sulfur, is a valuable raw material used in both nutritional supplementation and various industrial applications. Although it is particularly known as a herbicide for algae control, its toxic effect depends on the amount of zinc it contains. Zinc is an essential mineral for humans, animals, and plants and occurs naturally in soil, water, and food.
It is in a 100% water-soluble form and contains a minimum of 22% (±0.4) zinc. Produced at our factory in Çorum using state-of-the-art leach process, our product has an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons and provides superior performance thanks to its high solubility.
Areas of Application
Agricultural Industry :
It regulates soil pH, increasing plants' water retention capacity and productivity.
It prevents leaf yellowing, premature shedding, and shrinkage.
It increases the number of shoots and fruit set in fruit trees; it reduces fruit deformations, thereby increasing their market value.
It prevents grass from yellowing in meadows and pastures, and promotes rapid growth and dense grass formation.
It prevents stunting by increasing plant height and stem thickness.
Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry:
It is used as an astringent (blood-stopping) agent.
Food and Yeast Industry:
It is involved in the production of food additives and yeast.
Mining Industry:
It is used in the flotation of metal ores and in ore extraction processes.
Textile and Leather Industry:
Its applications include viscose rayon production, precipitation baths in zinc plating electrolytes, mordants in dyeing, and leather and textile preservatives.
Synthetic Fiber and the Beer Industry:
Rayon has a wide range of uses, from fiber production to beer brewing.
Wood Preservation:
Chromated zinc sulfate provides effective results in impregnation as a wood preservative against termites and decay.
It increases the durability of the material by preventing fungi from damaging the wood cell walls.
Paper and Woodworking:
It is used in the bleaching of wood pulp when modified with thio urea dioxide; the bleaching effect is enhanced by increasing pH.
Legal Approval:
According to the European Union's Commission Implementing Regulation No. 2016/1095, it is approved as a feed additive with identification number 3b604.
